so it was an interesting experience this time around, what with the increased security....i arrived about 2hrs prior to flight in order to have enough time to clear security which included: a full search + xray of my checked luggage, and by full i mean everything came out, and on top of the normal personal and carry-on screening, which in the states includes removing your belt and shoes, you are now required to remove "excess" clothing and if clothing is loose be patted down...your luggage is all searched and wiped down for 'traces of explosives' including your shoes...and the removal of EVERYTHING resembling a liquid/paste/gel....the airports much have one of the largest collections of makeup by now!
i had to change planes at Ohare again but this time i also had a change of carrier..which required me to leave the secure section of the airport and re-check myself through ticketing and security....
i also arrived in tennessee minus my luggage!...next time i will book with longer connection times...how often do you say that!...though was nicely surprised when it was delivered 4hours later...and given i hadn't had to spend the night in the airport i wasnt feeling quite as scummy, however the southern summer temperature (89F) and humidity (60%) was somewhat of a killer shock....and thats not even bad im told..
