i know i know i suck at writing in this thing lately...
january was pretty uneventful though....it still hasnt snowed significantly, despite this the conditions aren't completely shit.....though its all groomers and park runs i tell myself i am working on a different set of skills from last season.....also i have been spending more days skiing and am now somewhat proficient at this too....
because there is "no" snow...the word on the street....there is also no people so therefore no work...kinda goes hand in hand......i barely make 20 hours working at the mountain....not all bad as i get a buttload of riding time...but also means that i dont make any moneys....i have picked up a restaurant job in town though which kinda makes up for the lack of mountain hours......and a bonus is that it also means free food.......
today i am celebrating "New Zealand" day in a low-key kinda way......the trade show is in town this week (thats where all the company reps come up to push there gear for next year) so there is free stuff for miles.....hoping to get a good hoard on thursday....the last day, when they off-load their demo stuff....
i am currently trying to decide on a date to bail from mammoth....nothing is standing out but i am pretty much looking at sometime in march....
i cant wait to get back and see everyone again, not to mention all the things that have changed in the N of Zed.....
Happy Waitangi Day....hope there was controversy, im about to go look at the news page and catch up on the new zealand goings on....
