what i do when i get sent home early....and get bored....
SKIIINNGG!!
hehe...i had my first day out on anything ski's yesterday.....and i say anything ski's because they were actually 'snowblades' which are super short ski's...
it was definitely a challenging experience having to think about 2 seperate things on my feet not just the one board im used too, i kept forgetting aobut one foot and just about falling over constantly....it is sort of like rollerblading except a whole lot wobblier *i think its the going down a hill that makes it harder:)*
anyway after a few runs i had the general jist of it and Julia (one of the argentinian girls i work with) decided it was time for me to try some powder.....to give you some background you take out a longer board/fatter ski's in powder so that you can stay on top of the snow and you also lean back a bit more than normal...so here i am on these short arse ski's...ie that dont hold your wieght very well...so if you dont lean hell back you are screwed and your tips go under and you face-plant...."superman's:" *flying face first into the snow* were the order of the day...
but they were sooo much fun...im going to have to ski proper now in order to compare...apparently skiing and blading are quite different so ill soon see...

wow so i have been REALLY slack at posting stuff!!
but that just goes to show how exciting my life is....well its not un-exciting but there is only soo much can write about...my life consists of work, riding and more work.....they keep saying it is going to get quieter...but it never does!
so now i have some interesting news....last minute last weekend after the busiest day on record....(we ran out of EVERYTHING we had to rent!)...i decided i had to get the hell outta town *i swear you go crazy here if you stay too long*...so joined a trip down to LA...
so 6 hours and 3 freeways later my arse was in 25degree weather and ready for some fun...the agenda: shopppppiinngggg!...beverly hills (i have shopped in the same stores as the stars), santa monica (soo cute, somewhere i could actually live in LA), venice beach (scary place after dark but pretty during the day)...
we also spent an hour or so on the beach...it was a bit too windy but we made the most of it...freakin walking around on the beach in my bathing suit and flip-flops...um er jandels :)....*I've bin in america too long*....I CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER!
outcomes of the trip: bought some cute arse t-shirts, have some amazingly hot jeans, have had the nordstroms experience, been stuck in LA "traffic" and witnessed a proper freeway crash, got my belly button pierced *for free* and stretched my ears out *only to a 10 guage*....all in all i much needed break
