Made it to London after a not too henious flight *hoorah for airports with showers*...... about 30 hours after take off found myself in non-air-conditioned, very humid and crowded Heathrow...was thanking my magic red passport as sped through formalities and went to battle a sticky rush hour tube across town, no one told me London was going to be so hot!
In the last 5 days I have:
Made it up the 530 steps of St Paul's Cathedral: seen Pollock, Warhol and Picasso at the Tate Modern: Rembrant, Degas, Monet and Crivelli at the National Gallery: taken touristy pictures at the Millenium Bridge, Globe Theatre, London Eye, Westminster, Big Ben, Horse Guard Parade and Trafalgar Square: soaked in the atmosphere of no less than 6 markets (and will be 3 more today): Been made to feel like a criminal by the Department of Work and Pensions: Got lost in Regents Park: Climbed to the top of Primrose Hill: Celebrated Diwali at festival of lights in Wembley: Looked for 'that door' in Notting Hill: stuffed my face with Mexican, Sichuan and Indian all washed down with ale: and am really liking the grated-lung feeling after spending far too much time in the tube...

Goodbye wellington and NZ......
