living the country life

soo i have a job...finally...after almost 2months of not working (3wks in LA and 3wks here) i am currently working as a pizza chef...really just a glorified term for kitchen hand...i do everything there is to do in the kitchen of a little pizza palour...and yes i am getting some serious guns from all the kneading of dough..some days i make about 260 pizza bases...
its not the best of jobs but its something while i find a more 'ínteresting'job..i still have no plans for where im headed/what im doing...*no suprise there huh* but i am trying to sort out moving on to B.C. hopefully around the end of july-ish...i kinda figure that most of prairie country life is goin to be the same so heading east will be a long way to go to end up trying to speak french (in quebec) so im thinking of going west, back to the coast...it doesnt seem like summer without going to the beach...
in the mean time i have been doing a lot of river-boating and camping and getting drunk...seems like my resolution to stop drinking so much once i left the states has no hope of coming about....
last weekend i attended my first RODEO...yup i even got all country for the occasion (big belt buckle and cowboyboots, yeeehhhaa) I watched everything from the saddlebronc and bareback riding...which a kiwi cowboy won by the way...to the steer wrestling and calf roping and the most impressive the bull riding....and each evening there was chuck-wagon racing..a pretty much uniquely canadian sport....
Ashley is involved in the 'Miss Grande Prairie Stompede'pagent..*she is a former queen herself*...so i spent the weekend hanging out with the girls and even got to meet Miss Rodeo Canada!!...so you could say that i am getting a BIG taste of the country thing...though i dont know if ill ever like the music ;)
